Easy Peasy Ears-y Cleansy! ‘Nuff said! 😊
You asked – we delivered! Here’s a quick ear-cleaning demo that should get you through your regular ear-cleaning tasks with your favorite pup. For regular ear maintenance, this type of cleaning should be done about once a week to ensure the best ear health under normal conditions – plus, if you choose the right ear-cleaner that is veterinarian approved, those ears will smell heavenly! Happy Grooming!
If you find that the ears are very smelly, crusty, red, and/or hot, do not clean the ears – make an appointment to see your veterinarian stat! You may be dealing with an infection that the doctor will need to examine and treat.
Here is the stuff I use in the salon to get this done. (If you buy off our links, we may make a small commission at no additional cost to you. Thank you so much for supporting the channel!)
Vetwell EarWell Cleaner – Sweet Pea Vanilla Scent (also comes in Cucumber Melon too):
Cotton Balls work great – just make sure you buy real cotton, the synthetic stuff just doesn’t pick up the grime as good as the real stuff. I buy cotton in a roll:
