Is Homeopathy a Natural Supplement or Medication? – Dog + Cat Health Vet Advice
In this episode of #DrAlexAnswers I discuss the difference between homeopathy and natural supplements, natural medication, herbal treatments and dietary supplements for dogs and cats.

Today’s question was asked by Lilia who was a bit confused about where homeopathy fits in with natural supplements, if they are actually the same thing and if they should be used by themselves instead of drugs or as a complementary treatment to other treatment types.
These are all excellent questions and really important distinctions to make. In essence, in my mind, natural products or dietary supplements contain ingredients which in theory may have a benefit to a body system. In real life, this does not mean they will definitely work, but there is a theoretical basis that at least makes it a possibility. Homeopathy, on the other hand, has no such logic or expectation behind it, it much more like a belief or even magic (and summaries of all the evidence available all point to the fact that homeopathy does nothing).
