Corrections: RECEIVING walkie chatter turns out to not attract dogs whatsoever, be it the beep or hearing voices. Talking into it counts as regular talking though, so don’t speak into it still, use text. There turns out to be no reason to ever turn them off, the side near dogs can just type. Text does not appear to alert dogs sending or receiving in proximity.
