The common snapping turtle (Chelydra serpentina) is my favorite turtle. It might be my favorite animal. Sure, they aren’t as cool looking as alligator snapping turtles or the mata mata, but their awesome appearance along with their intelligence and personality just make them so incredibly special. But is the common snapping turtle a good pet? Is this monster turtle the best pet reptile for you?
